We recommend filling the composter to the top to maximize your batch of compost. Composting microorganisms are hungry, and multiply quickly. They require constant nourishment from Green and Brown materials to grow and reproduce. They use the carbon as an energy source and nitrogen to create proteins. The end product they leave behind is great compost that can be used to grow plants that in turn may feed you!
